Geotextile is a flat, permeable textile material with high deformability, formed from polymer fibers from thermoplastics, which is used in geotechnics.
Classification of Geosynthetics:
- Geotextile
- Geomembrane
- Geocomposite

Areas of application:
- Road and building construction (drainage systems, soil erosion prevention);
- agriculture;
- medicine (personal hygienic clothes and other compositions);
- furniture manufacturing;
- packaging and others.
TERRAM Geotextile is widely used in various engineering projects more than 20 years. This rolled material is characterized by high strength and ability to strengthen the soil bases.
TERRAM geotextile is a kind of non-woven geotextile material; a fabric is made from polyethylene (30%) and polypropylene (70%) fibers. In consumables, in the production of geotextiles is added in a small amount a special compound - a stabilizer, which increases the resistance of the product to light and in particular, ultraviolet rays. In addition, TERRAM geotextile is completely environmentally friendly. It is resistant to chemicals that may be present in soils (salts, acids, alkalis), is not susceptible to fungal infections and putrefactive processes, and has a long service life.
TERRAM geotextile applications:
The geomaterial is intended for use as separation layers in the construction of a wide variety of objects. It is designed to prevent the mixing of particles of adjacent layers. Also Terram makes it possible to significantly reduce construction costs by reducing excavation. Construction work is cheaper because there is no need for imported soil; local soils of even poor quality can be used together with Terram geotextile at the site.
The use of Terram geotextile provides increased frost resistance of the constructed engineering structures and allows for construction work under the most adverse climatic conditions.
Areas of use for Terram geotextiles: Terram geotextiles are widely used in various types of road construction (automobile, temporary, railways; pedestrian pavements, etc.). The canvas also found its application in the construction of sports fields (golf courses, tennis courts, football fields, athletics fields), as well as in landscape design, for example, when landscaping slopes. Terram is also indispensable for geotextiles during the construction of a number of hydrotechnical facilities, the strengthening of the river coastline, and the protection of the seacoast.
