Corrosion Resistance of Alloy 10X17H13M3T
According to GOST 7350-77, the steel 08X17H13M2T, 10X17H13M2T, 10X17H13MZT and 08X17H15MZT are tested for resistance to intergranular corrosion according to the methods AM and AMU GOST 6032-89 after provoking heating at 650 ° C for 1 hour. Similar tests are provided for by GOST 5949-75 for all the listed steels, as well as GOST 5582-75 for 10Kh17N13M2T, 10Kh17N13MZT and 08Kh17N15MZT steels; GOST 18143-72 for steels 10X17H13M2T and 10X17H13MZT; GOST 9940-81 and GOST 9941-81 for steels 10X17H13M2T and 08X17H15MZT. These steels have a 1st resistance score (Vcor <0.1 mm / year) in 50% citric acid at boiling point; 10% formic acid to 100 ° C; 5, 10 and 25% sulfuric acid to 75 ° C; 50% acetic acid up to 100 ° C and 80% up to 80 ° C; 25% phosphoric acid at boiling point and 40% to 100 ° C. Due to the presence of molybdenum, steels of types 17-13-2 (3) and 17-15-3 have increased resistance to pitting corrosion in environments containing chlorine ions, compared with chrome nickel steels of type 18-10. Along with this, molybdenum reduces the resistance of steels to intergranular corrosion in oxidizing environments.
The most critical equipment for the production of synthetic acetic acid, synthetic rubber and isoprene is made from 10Kh17N13M2T steel. Steel 10X17H13MZT maintains a stable passive state in concentrated solutions of caustic soda (50%) at temperatures up to 100 ° C.
Steel 10X17H13MZT is one of the main materials for the manufacture of equipment for the production of ethanolamines.
Stable-austenitic steel 08Kh17N15MZT is used for the manufacture of urea synthesis columns, since the use of steels with a lower nickel content for these purposes usually leads to selective corrosion in S-ferrite sections.
Alloy welding 10X17H13M3T
Steel 08Kh17N13M2T, 10Kh17N13M2T, 10Kh17N13MZT and 08Kh17N15MZT are well welded by manual and automatic electric arc and gas-electric welding. For manual arc welding of steels 10 (08) Kh17N13M2T and 10Kh17N13MZT it is recommended to use electrodes NIAT-1, EA-400 / 10U and NZh-13; for automatic welding - wire Sv-04Kh19N11 and Sv-06Kh19N10MZT in combination with fluxes AN-26, ANF-14, ANF-6. For automatic arc welding or submerged arc welding of 08Kh17N13MZT steel, it is recommended to use filler material in the form of wire Sv-01Kh19N18G10AM4, and for manual arc welding - OZL-20, ANV-17, ANV-18 and ANV-20 electrodes.
