Expanded Sheet Cell Types
The main element of the finished sheet expanded metal is a cell obtained by performing the manufacturing process. Cell dimensions are given by its width and length.
Cell length L - corresponds to the distance between the midpoints of two nodes, measured in the direction of the long diagonal of the cell. The width of the hole corresponds to the distance between the boundaries of the two nodes, measured in the direction of the short diagonal of the cell.
Material thickness T - corresponds to the thickness of the processed material.
The feed step C is a technological term for describing the geometric dimension of a web width. The feed pitch corresponds to the distance over which the material being processed is moved relative to the fixed edge of the cutting tool.
